Andy Watson

Andy was born in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, where he started playing trombone at the age of 9. He progressed through brass bands and solo competitions before joining the Royal Air Force at seventeen as a musician, reaching the rank of Sergeant and serving mainly with The Central Band and the RAF Squadronaires.

After 22 years of military service, Andy went freelance in 2007. His career since has included West End and touring productions such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Cabaret, Bugle Boy and The Rat Pack, and performances alongside artists including Frankie Valli, Will Young, Leo Sayer and Lisa Stansfield.

Alongside the Syd Lawrence Orchestra, Andy is currently lead trombone with The Rat Pack Live From Las Vegas and tours with Andy Abrahams.
